Workshop on 2/23/2023: A Cyber Belief Model
The Cyber Public Health Working Group (led by CyberGreen and Indiana University’s Ostrom Workshop) co-hosted a workshop on February 23, 2023:
A Cyber Belief Model

Featured Speaker: Adam Shostack
The Health Belief Model (HBM) is a longstanding family of models to explain why people don’t act on health advice. Could adaptation of the HBM to cybersecurity – a “Cyber Belief Model (CBM)” – be a useful way to identify and address inhibitors to action, leading to improved security globally?
Adam Shostack was our featured speaker. He explored the idea of a Cyber Belief Model and wrote a report, which you can download here.
