Description:

Our esteemed speakers, Dr. Doug Hough, Dr. Josiah Dykstra, and Jamie Met, walk us through four remarkable public health achievements and discuss how they can be applied to the world of cybersecurity. The case studies include John Snow’s discovery related to the Broad Street water pump, the development and distribution of the polio vaccine, the eradication of smallpox, and the impactful campaigns to reduce cigarette smoking.

We dive into the unique strategies used in each case to overcome significant threats to human health, exploring their potential relevance to the fast-paced, ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity. The lessons learned from these health triumphs can provide us with valuable insights to better posture against future cyber threats.
